§ Mr. BottomleyI assume the hon. Members refers to the Brunei Agreement 1959 under which Her Majesty has responsibility for the protection of the State including full control of external affairs and defence. It is the policy of Her Majesty's Government that Brunei should progressively assume full responsibility in all fields of government, which will inevitably lead to a review of the Agreement at the appropriate time.
