§ Mr. John Wellsasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will publish a table in the Official Report showing the total number of officers and workmen employed by local councils, except in educational departments, in each year in the last 10 years, the total actual wage and salary bill for them in each year and an adjusted wage and salary figure making allowance for the changed value of the £ sterling, and the total actual expenditure other than wages and salaries and a similarly adjusted figure for each year.
