§ Mr. Lubbockasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish his reply to the proposals for 8W inspection of correspondence colleges submitted to him through the National Extension College by various bodies.
§ Mr. CroslandThe National Extension College has been informed that I am awaiting the publication shortly of the report of the Committee under the chairmanship of Dr. C. E. Gurr, formerly Chief Education Officer for Middlesex, containing the scheme for the establishment of a national accrediting body which the main correspondence college interests agreed last year to prepare for my consideration. Interested bodies would be given the opportunity of commenting on the scheme before I decided whether to participate in it by nominating the chairman and the other independent members.
