HC Deb 22 April 1966 vol 727 c1W
Mr. Godber

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he has now reconsidered the question of the Boundary Commission's proposal for the villages borderning on Lincoln in the light of the decision to appoint a Royal Commission; and whether he will now abandon proposals for changes in Lincolnshire pending the report of the Royal Commission.

Mr. Crossman

No. I have received the Inspector's report on the public local inquiry at Lincoln and am now considering on their merits the Local Government Commission's proposals for the extension of the county borough in the light both of the report and of the decision to appoint a Royal Commission. I shall announce my conclusions as soon as possible on these proposals and on the other proposals which the Commission has made for Lincolnshire.
