§ Mr. Wallasked the Minister of Overseas Development what are the criteria used in judging whether Kenya farmers should receive assistance or have their farms purchased as compassionate cases.
§ Mrs. CastleThe considerations which have been applied are the degree of exposure to special risks because of old age, infirmity or isolation, and financial inability to leave their farms unless the farms are sold. The farmers must also be citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies.
