§ Mr. Ron Lewisasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government, in view of the representations already made, if he will now increase the current rates of financial loss allowances, under the Local Government Financial Loss Allowance Regulations 1962.
§ Mr. MacCollNo immediate increase is proposed. This decision takes account both of the need for public economy at the present time and the fact that changes in these rates are made only at relatively infrequent intervals: the last increase was no more than three years ago. The matter will, however, be reviewed in 1966.
