§ 86. Mr. Farrasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will instruct his officials to interpret the Water Resources Act 1963 with sympathy and understanding where users of long standing have omitted to apply for a licence before 30th June, 1965.
§ Mr. John MackieI cannot think of any circumstances in which my officials would be called upon to interpret the Water Resources Act 1963 in connection with applications for licences but I would be glad to look into this matter if the hon. Member will give me details. The issue of licences is a matter for river authorities and my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government.
