§ Mr. Allaunasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will seek power to oblige local authorities to inform him from their ratebooks of the number of privately-owned houses vacant in their areas and the approximate time for which they have been vacant.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend does not think that this would be very useful. It is the local housing authority which needs to know what houses are standing empty.
