§ Mr. Hobdenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps he proposes to reduce drug addiction, in view of the fact that there has been a significant increase in drug addiction in Great Britain during the last seven years.
§ Mr. George ThomasThe recent increase in addiction has been studied by the Interdepartmental Committee on Drug Addiction. In reply to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Wood Green (Mrs. Joyce Butler) on 1st November my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health said that he hoped to make a statement when the Committee's report was published in about three weeks from then.
