Sentence imposed Men Women Corrective training 280 12 Preventive detention 202 4 Life imprisonment 20 0 Detention during Her Majesty's Pleasure 2 0 Imprisonment—persons under 21 when sentenced 1,272 60 A prisoner released on licence is normally placed under the supervision of the Central After-Care Association and this commonly, but not necessarily, involves supervision by a probation officer.
