§ Mr. Tom FraserAs my hon. Friend explained in his letter of 21st September to the hon. Member, double white lines should be used only where poor visibility and the average speed of vehicles make it essential that drivers should not cross the centre of the road. At this junction there is good forward visibility in either direction on the main road, and the approaches are adequately signed.
