§ Mr. Chichester-Clarkasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what will be the effect of the Anglo-Eire trade talks of July on meat producers and those engaged in ancillary industries, in Northern Ireland and Great Britain, respectively.
§ Mr. John MackieSince the July ministerial meeting, further discussions have been taking place between officials of the U.K. and of the Republic of Ireland, and the U.K. officials have naturally had in mind the interests of all sectors of the economy. The talks are still in progress and in the circumstances it would not be appropriate for me to comment on any particular aspect.
