§ Mr. Braineasked the Minister of Overseas Development if she will make a statement on the grant of an interest-free loan to Ethiopia.
§ Mr. OramIt has been agreed that the £2 million loan to Ethiopia which was announced in principle in April, 1964, is to be on interest-free terms. The Emperor of Ethiopia has expressed his appreciation and thanks. The loan will be tied to British goods and services and will be used on development projects to be agreed between the two Governments.
