§ Mr. Lomasasked the Minister of Health, if, in view of the fact that of the 6,280 members of hospital management committees in England and Wales only 295 are nominees of the trade unions, he will advise regional hospital boards to increase this allocation.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonRegional hospital boards are well aware of the value of having trade union experience well represented on hospital management committees. The total number of members who have strong links with the trade unions is much greater than the number of members appointed on the recommendation of trade union organisations.
