§ Mr. Bessellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will introduce legislation to amend the Agriculture Act 1947, to provide for an independent arbitration tribunal to settle disputes arising from the Annual Price Review.
§ Mr. PeartNo, I am satisfied that the decisions needed to implement the objectives of the Agriculture Act, 1947, which are reached only after full consultation with the Farmers' Unions and consideration of the national interest, must continue to be the responsibility of the Government.
