§ Lord Balnielasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware that The Old Windmill at Waterford, Hertfordshire, which is listed in the Supplementary List of Buildings of Architectural or Historical Interest, 196W would be destroyed if a road improvement scheme for the A.602 at present under consideration, was implemented; and whether, in view of local concern, he will institute a public inquiry before reaching a decision on this matter.
§ Mr. MacCollThe building is not on the statutory list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest and the original 17th century structure has been much altered and added to. In these circumstances, it would be difficult for my right hon. Friend to intervene.
