§ Q12. Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Prime Minister what has been the response to his efforts to end the conflict between India and Pakistan over the Rann of Kutch; and whether he will make a statement.
§ The Prime MinisterEfforts to bring about a settlement of this conflict are still continuing. I am hopeful that they will soon be successful but, in view of the delicacy of the situation, I would prefer not to add anything at this stage to my statement of 5th May. I shall of course make a further statement to the House as soon as I am in a position to do so.
