Mr. Warbeyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what decision was taken at the recent meeting of the Council of the South-East Asia Treaty Organisation in response to the official request from Prince Sihanouk for the removal of Cambodia from the list of States according protection under the Protocol to the Manila Treaty.

StewartThe Secretary General replied to Prince Sihanouk's message assuring him that there was, of course, no question of any action being taken on Cambodian territory without the invitation or consent of the Cambodian Government, as paragraph three of Article 4 of the Manila Treaty makes abundantly clear.
