§ Miss Quennellasked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider taking steps to institute a standard size envelope which can be electronically sorted for use in a high-speed service.
§ Mr. BennA single standard sized envelope would, I am sure, be too restrictive for the general user of the post. As announced on the 25th March, I have decided to press ahead with envelope standardisation and this will permit the use of a standard range of sizes lending itself to high speed mechanical sorting.
