§ Mr. CroslandThe members of the Sports Council are unpaid but the Deputy Chairman also advises the Department on a part-time basis and for this receives a salary of £2,800 p.a. The Council is serviced by officers of the Department.18W The Director, who has been seconded from the Central Council of Physical Recreation, receives a salary of £3,725 a year for full-time services; the Deputy-Director seconded for part-time service from Birmingham University has a salary of £1,760 p.a. from the Department.
