§ 49. Mr. Fisherasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will initiate in the United Nations a proposal to end the River Jordan water dispute on the lines of the irrigation works which solved the Indus problem between India and Pakistan.
§ Mr. PadleyI do not think any useful purpose would be served by Her Majesty's Government taking an initiative of this kind at this stage.
