HC Deb 07 May 1965 vol 711 cc222-3W
Mr. Monro

asked the Postmaster-General what steps he is taking to enable television viewers in Dumfriesshire to see the British Broadcasting Corporation Scottish programme.

Mr. Benn

The extension of the coverage attained by its services is primarily a matter for the B.B.C. The Corporation tells me that it expects to bring a new Band III transmitter into service at its existing station at Sandale later this summer. This will enable the B.B.C.'s Scottish Service to be received by viewers in the greater part of Dumfriesshire.
