asked the Minister of Health if he will circularise local authorities to draw their attention to the need for making the public aware of the potential dangers in the home which can lead to severe burns to adults and children.

I am sure that local authorities are well aware of this need and know that publicity material is available from my Department and from the organisations concerned with health education and with accidents.

My right hon. and learned Friend the Home Secretary has recently sent a circular to local authorities inviting their co-operation in a national campaign in the autumn in fire prevention in the home.
