§ 62. Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the President of the Board of Trade what reply he intends to send to the European Coal and Steel Community's Aide Mémoire dated 12th January regarding the British import surcharge and export rebates; and how soon he expects that reply to be ready.
§ Mr. JayWe discussed this Aide Mémoire with the High Authority at the meeting of the U.K./E.C.S.C. Council of Association in Luxembourg on 5th March. The terms of our reply, which will be delivered in the near future, are still under consideration.
