§ 67. Mr. Gowerasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how much money he will make available to Glamorgan County Council for the construction of schools during the year 1965–66; and by how much this sum differs from the amount requested by the county council.
§ Mr. CroslandThe major building programme allocation for primary and secondary schools for the Glamorgan County Council for 1965–66 amounts to £1,393,120. This is £524,646 less than the amount requested by the Council. In addition, the allocation to the Council for 1965–66 for minor projects costing less than £20,000, which will be largely expended on primary and secondary schools, is £320,000. This is £5,000 less than the amount requested by the Council.
