§ Mr. Edmund Dellasked the Minister of Transport what plans he has to improve road communications between Birkenhead and the M.6.
§ Mr. Tom FraserThe proposed new mid-Wirral trunk road will be linked to M.6 by a new trunk road across north Cheshire. The mid-Wirral road and important parts of the north Cheshire road are included in my current roads programme. I am also considering proposals for a new trunk route across south Lancashire which would link Liverpool, and thus Birkenhead, with M.6 north of Warrington.
