§ Mr. Roseasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance whether she will review the position of retirement pensioners resident abroad so that they will receive those increases in the retirement pension from time to time awarded by Her Majesty's Government.
§ Miss HerbisonI am satisfied that there are good reasons for the rule which has been followed in the past and that exceptions should be made only where we have a reciprocal agreement under which each country pays its pensions at current rates to its pensioners in the other country.
