§ 28 and 29. Mr. Boardmanasked the Minister of Public Building and Works (1) what proportion of the 46 per cent. increase between 1958 and 1964 in the prices of houses for private owners was accounted for by the increase in land prices;
(2) in view of the rise in the index of prices of new houses for private owners from 100 in the fourth quarter of 1958 to 146 in the fourth quarter of 1964, if he will state the average increase in building materials prices and building trade wages in the same period.
§ Mr. C. PannellDuring the period from 1958 to 1964 the average price of building materials rose by 15 per cent. and average monthly earnings of construction workers rose by 45 per cent. There is no index of land prices.
