HC Deb 15 March 1965 vol 708 c178W
45. Mr. Ennals

asked the hon. Member for Liverpool, Exchange (Mrs. Braddock) as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee, why the price of custard in the Westminster Hall canteen has risen by 200 per cent. from 1d. to 3d.

Mrs. Braddock

In the Westminster Hall canteen the cost of custard has not previously been advertised. It was, in fact, included in the charge for the sweet.

The basic cost of a portion of custard is 1¾d. for the ingredients, before allowing for production costs.
