Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what companies in this country have changed their residences since 15th October, 1964; and to which other countries they have gone.

Mr. Diamond

Since 15th October, 1964, 17 companies have applied under Section 468 of the Income Tax Act, 1952, for consent to move their residence outside the United Kingdom.

The countries mentioned in the applications are the Bahamas, France, Guinea, Holland, the Republic of Ireland, Jersey, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Rhodesia, South Africa, Switzerland and the United States.
