§ Sir F. SoskiceThe Advisory Council on the Treatment of Offenders was set up in August 1944. Its members were last appointed for a period ending on 31st December, 1963, and, in view of the setting up of the Royal Commission on the Penal System, no appointments have been made since that date. All its reports in recent years were published.
