§ 106. Mr. Wainwrightasked the Minister of Transport when authority will be granted for the carrying out of a detailed soil survey for the Lancashire-Yorkshire motorway, M.62.
§ Mr. Tom FraserDetailed soil surveys have already taken place on the western 23 miles, including the Pennine section. Similar surveys on the remaining 30 miles will be authorised as soon as the line of route becomes reasonably certain.
§ Mr. Wainwrightasked the Minister of Transport if he will make a statement on the latest progress on the Lancashire-Yorkshire motorway M.62 project.
§ Mr. Tom FraserPreparation of this motorway, including the necessary statutory processes, is going ahead as quickly as possible. Part of it is to be the subject of a public inquiry.
