§ 102. Mr. Wallasked the Minister of Overseas Development when the balance of the grant owing to Rhodesia in respect of the ex-Federal short-term debt will be paid; and what proposals she has for further financial assistance to Rhodesia.
§ Mrs. CastleAs the hon. Member was informed on 19th January, the second instalment of the £4 million grant falls due for payment in April, 1965.
Exploratory talks with officials of the Government of Rhodesia were held in London between 23rd February and 4th March. Rhodesia's financial position and needs were examined and views were exchanged. The question of further British aid will be a matter for consideration by the two Governments.
