HC Deb 09 March 1965 vol 708 c72W
Sir M. Galpern

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to amend the law to provide for cases where a doctor is called by the police to examine a motorist they believe had been in charge of a car while under the influence of drink and he refuses to do so or having agreed to do so refuses to make the examination on discovering the motorist is also a doctor or someone known to him.

Sir F. Soskice

I note the point my hon. Friend has in mind, but I do not consider this a matter for amendment of the law.
