HC Deb 09 March 1965 vol 708 cc46-7W
76. Mr. Sharples

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps he proposes to take in order to minimise the hardship to civil servants, particularly those with young children or aged relatives to support, who are compulsorily transferred away from the London area.

Mr. MacDermot

Special arrangements have been agreed with the Staff Side about the pay and expenses of staff transferred from London under the dispersal programme in addition to the allowances which are normally payable to civil servants on compulsory transfer.
