§ 78. Sir M. Galpernasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the total cost in the year ended 31st March, 1964, of Exchequer grants to the voluntary societies in Scotland concerned with marriage guidance; and what percentage this represents of the cost during the same period to the Exchequer of legal aid for matrimonial cases of all kinds in Scotland.
§ Mr. RossGrants totalling £1,500 were paid to the Scottish Marriage Guidance Council during the year ended 31st March, 1964; they have since been increased to £3,000 a year. The cost of legal aid in matrimonial proceedings is not separately available.
