§ 83. Mr. Woodburnasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science in how many universities closed circuit television is used as an aid; and whether he will establish an organisation and methods division to consult with and advise universities and colleges on the best scientific aids to make the maximum use of the best and scarce talents for the greatest number of students.
§ Miss Jennie LeeAt present, closed circuit television is used as an aid in 25 of the 32 university institutions on the grant list of the University Grants Committee. The potentialities of this and other audio-visual aids and the way in 293W which universities and colleges can best be advised about them are being considered by a committee which was set up jointly by my Department, the Scottish Education Department and the University Grants Committee.
