§ Mr. Dudley Smithasked the Minister of Transport if he is satisfied that the law relating to metal mascots and insignia protruding from the bonnets of vehicles is adequate; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Tom FraserI think that the requirements of the law on this point are adequate. No mascot likely to cause injury to a person may be carried on a motor vehicle in such a position that it is likely to strike anyone with whom the vehicle may collide, and all parts and accessories of a vehicle must at all times be in such a condition that no danger is caused or is likely to be caused to any person on the vehicle or on a road.
