§ Mr. Iremongerasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science to what extent chartered accountants who have been awarded places in the Graduate School of Business Administration at Harvard University are eligible for Government grants without a university degree; and what steps he is taking to assist the constituent of the hon. Member for Ilford, North, who is in this situation, and about whom he has received details.
§ Mr. CroslandGovernment grants for postgraduate study are not normally available except to suitable graduates of a British university, and if the proposed course of study is abroad, special justification is in any case required. I have just received the correspondence to which the hon. Member refers, and will be writing to him about it.
