Mr. Onslowasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will introduce amending legislation to provide 48W for the lodging of an appeal and the holding of a public inquiry in cases where planning permission has been granted by a local authority in spite of known local objections, or in circumstances where local residents had no reason to anticipate that planning consent might be granted.
