§ 42. Mr. Snowasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs what machinery for co-ordination he has set up to ensure that the effect on sanitary ware firms of the Government's credit squeeze and housing policy is taken fully into account in formulating economic policy, in view of the contribution made by those firms to the Government's export drive; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. George BrownI have no reason to think that sanitary ware firms are being adversely affected by the Government's economic policy. If there are any problems, my right hon. Friend the Minister of Public Building and Works would be glad to learn of them. I am sure that the Regional Economic Planning Councils would be glad to hear from any sanitary ware firms in difficulty in their regions.
