§ Mr. JayThe building grant is only one of several forms of assistance available under the Local Employment Acts. Since 1960 assistance under these Acts totalling approximately£1¾ million has been offered to 116 projects in the Highlands and Islands and the Rhins of Galloway which are expected to provide about 2,300 additional jobs.
