Barnettasked the Minister of Transport if, in view of the fact that many people in the area surrounding Manchester depend to a large degree on that city for their entertainment, he will, in his study of traffic in conurbations, make an examination of the possibility of building an underground tube service for the area.
§ Mr. Tom FraserThe transportation study now being planned for the South East Lancashire and North East Cheshire conurbation is designed to assist the development of a comprehensive transport system for the conurbation. The study will examine all forms of transport that might contribute to such a system.
