HC Deb 15 June 1965 vol 714 c49W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Minister of Technology when he will make a statement on the future development of atomic energy establishments in Scotland.

Mr. Cousins

The Atomic Energy Authority expects to make proposals later this year for the erection of a prototype fast breeder power station. When I have received these proposals the Government will consider whether the project should proceed and if so where it is to be sited.

The present tasks of the Atomic Energy Authority's establishments at Dounreay and Chapelcross provide a full load of work for several years ahead.
