McAddenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prosecutions in respect of vehicles waiting in Halkin Place, S.W.1, have been instituted by the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police under the London (Waiting and Loading) Restrictions Regulations, over the past three years; and how many such prosecutions have resulted in a conviction.
§ Miss BaconThe Commissioner informs me that there have been three cases32W in which summonses were issued in respect of waiting in Halkin Place. The first case was dismissed with costs against the police, and the other two summonses were withdrawn.
