HC Deb 04 June 1965 vol 713 c300W
Mr. A. J. Williams

asked the Minister of Transport how many hours of operational service were obtained from the 11 diesel rail-buses which are at present stored out of use.

Mr. Tom Fraser

The Railways Board tells me that this information is not available.

Mr. A. J. Williams

asked the Minister of Transport when the 11 diesel rail-buses, which are at present stored out of use, were purchased; and what their total capital value was when new.

Mr. Tom Fraser

The Railways Board's fleet of diesel rail-buses was purchased in 1958 and 1959. The original capital cost of the 11 now in store was about £163,000.
