HC Deb 04 June 1965 vol 713 c299W
Mr. Albert Murray

asked the Minister of Transport if he is satisfied that the proposed acceleration and deceleration lanes on the A.2 between Marling Cross and the Laughing Water Restaurant will not create safety hazards in view of the proposed provision of a further petrol filling station; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Tom Fraser

Permission has not yet been granted for a new petrol filling station on this length of road. In considering any application for such development referred to me by the local planning authority, I will have regard to the best means of minimising any conflict between the deceleration and acceleration lanes at this point.
