§ 63. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Attorney-General how many of the 10 orders made in camera since January, 1960, committing persons to prison were made in Scotland; and what steps he is taking to end this system of making orders in camera to commit persons to prison.
§ The Attorney-GeneralNone of the orders referred to were made in Scotland. The Supreme Court Rule Committee is today considering whether it would be desirable to require the committal order to be made in public where, in order to safeguard the interests of those concerned, and in particular the ward, the application for the order was heardin camera.
