§ Mr. Ian Gilmourasked the Minister of Aviation into which category of exceptions to Her Majesty's Government's incomes policy, as outlined in paragraph 15 in the White Paper on Prices and Incomes Policy, the increase in salary of between 10 and 18 per cent. for 1,600 British Overseas Airways Corporation cabin staff comes.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsThis settlement was under negotiation for some time before the publication of the White Paper. It is a three year agreement and I understand that as a result of it British Overseas Airways Corporation will have the cooperation of the staff concerned in a number of practical measures designed to achieve economies and increases in productivity.
