§ Mrs. CastleRequests for agricultural assistance have been almost entirely for staff under the Overseas Service Aid Scheme and advisers under the Special Commonwealth African Assistance Plan.
Out of 70 such requests since Zambia became independent, 26 posts have been filled and recruitment is proceeding for most of the remainder.
At the request of the Zambian Government we are contributing to the support of agricultural research in the area.
